As the Gateway to the Thousand Islands (1000 Islands) in Ontario, Gananoque is known for its waterfront community, unique history, architecture and beautiful landscapes. The Gananoque Municipal Marina is one of the most popular marinas in the Thousand Islands, located on the shores of the #StLawrenceRiver.
Thousand Island Association is working in partnership with the Gananoque Municipal Marinato support waste characterizations from their plastic capture technology. We are excited to learn from the important data that they collect!
Gananoque Municipal Marina joined the Great Lakes Plastic Cleanup in 2022 and is committed to ensuring the St. Lawrence River and the broader Great Lakes watershed remains free of plastic for generations to come!
